I did not have to wait at all in line. At first the officer didn't seem so nice. But as he was opening my package he asked simple questions like
where I was coming from, why did I live in Japan, how long I lived there for, if I spoke Japanese, if I had seen the 90 day fiancé show, how I met my fiancé, and others I can't really remember.
Just basic questions, it felt more like just chatting. He showed me the K1 expiration date, and that I had to be married by then. Talked about AOS, just some friendly reminders.
Customs did not check any of my 4 bags, except to take an apple that I forgot to eat on the plane. Yet the person who took it was really nice and kept making conversation.
It was way more relaxed then I thought it would be!

Very quick. I was with my (US citizen) husband.
Because the CR1 visa is not an option on the custom electronic booth (I don't know how to call it), I had to fill out the little blue form, we all used to fill out not so long ago (it is the form to give away to the customs, where you declare: where you come from, how much money you are bringing with you, if you are bringing any food, etc.).
I had no questions whatsoever. The officer dialed a number, said "I have one", the speaker was on, so we heard a man saying my full name (I was quite amazed, I guess I was the only CR1 of the afternoon*), he stamped my Visa and put the date of the day.
He was very nice and smily.
(*The airport was totally empty because of Covid19)

I had previously put the hotel where I was going to stay and a phone contact number on the website of the airline.
When I arrived to the POE I went to a machine where I showed my ESTA and confirmed my id with my passport.
After this I was presented to an officer on the POE, he only asked me what was the reason of my visit, I simply said I came to visit my girlfriend during her school vacation. I guess he already had all the information in system, that I filed the night before on the airline website.
So he gave me a stamp and let me go with no further questions.
5 minutes later, still inside the airport, just before the exit, I happened to pass by an officer who was verifying the luggage of random people, and he said he wanted to see my luggage content, I only had some clothes, hygiene products and a Nintendo3DS, he asked me also why was I there, I told him the same thing/
He was very polite and brief, he even joked and told me I should go "because I am sure there is a beautiful lady waiting for you outside"
after that I was done.

The CBP officer at LAX didn't know what type of visa CR-1/IR-1 was -- guessing he was new -- he flipped through a little book/guide, called a few people but no luck.
He had to get someone up from secondary. I chatted with the guy for about 30 to 40 minutes holding up the line until the secondary guy arrived. Went to secondary with the new guy for 10 minutes and everything was good. Had to explain to the secondary guy that I didn't have a physical packet and that it was all digital.
Don't want to overly critical but I'm surprised both CBP officers weren't more knowledgeable.
